September 2008, Part 2

Abby had her first “kiss” in nursery this month. Abby and Nicholas (our neighbor) both puckered up and gave each other a kiss. Could this be the beginning of something?!? Abby knows how to sign grandpa and firefighter. It is really sweet. Both grandpas just love it when she signs grandpa for them and says, “Papa.”

Mid-September, Abby started saying her name, which is “Babby.” It is absolutely adorable. At first she tried to mix Baby and Abby and then came up with “Babby.” We love it! Abby also knows how to say “Jesus” and knows who Jesus is in pictures and in her storybooks. It is precious. At church, she points to Jesus in the pictures all the time.

Abby loves to change her baby’s diaper. She unsnaps the baby’s clothes and gets a real diaper and sometimes even the Desitin. There are random diapers all over the house and sometimes I don’t find out until we are not at home that Abby has emptied the diaper bag of all the diapers. That is always a treat!

September 21st in Nursery, Abby attempted to eat the play-doh. Luckily, Abby's Nursery Leader was watching and had her spit it out. Aunt Leslie watched Abby on Sept. 22nd and 23rd while I had to work. Abby kept calling her, “Nenny”. We won’t tell Aunt Jenny because we don’t want her feelings hurt. We are working on saying Leslie, but it still comes out “Nenny”. When we ask what a cow says, Abby says, “Boo.” So now she is going to be a cow for Halloween. I think it is very appropriate!
