Meet Baby Jane

Our sweet little baby Jane was born on August 14, 2009 at 7:03 am. She weighed 7 lbs 3 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. She was born with dark brown hair, but it has certainly lightened. Labor and Delivery was really fast....just over 3 hours. After the doctor was able to turn her because she was posterior, I only had to push twice and little Jane was finally here.
WE LOVE BABY JANE!!!!

It's a GIRL!

Yes, that's right...another girl! Abby is getting a little sister and she is so excited. Abby knew all along the new baby was a girl. Every time we asked her if it was a baby brother or siser, she always responded, "Sister." The baby looks beautiful (from the ultrasound) and all is well. Now we just have to wait for the big day when she finally arrives.

Coast to Coast

Abby and I just returned from visiting my mom in Los Angeles. We had so much fun. My cousin, Michelle, and her 5 month old baby, Luke, came as well. My mom was excited to meet Baby Luke (or as Abby calls him, Loot) for the first time. We went to Hollywood the first day and did some fun shopping. Day 2 was a fun-filled day at Disneyland. All Abby talked about was seeing Goofy....and guess who was sound asleep when we finally met up with him? Abby! She missed out on seeing Goofy because we all know you don't wake a sleeping child. Abby's favorite ride was It's a Small World. (When we went to Disneyland in November the ride was closed, so this was a special treat). She loved the music! After every ride Abby would say, "That was fun!" The highlight for Abby was meeting Tinkerbell. Abby ran right into Tinkerbell's arms for a big hug. It was so sweet and definitely worth the hour wait. We really had a fun day. Day 3 consisted of a lot of sleep...we were all exhausted from Disneyland. Day 4 was our beach day at Santa Monica. Abby loved looking for the birdies. Day 5 and 6 were spent at my mom's just visiting and relaxing. We all had a great time. It is so hard to come home. But this time was a little easier because Corey had spent 2 weeks in New York with work and Abby and I were ready to see Daddy. Corey had a fun time in New York seeing Central Park, Times Square, the Met Museum and he even went to a broadway show. This was the most interesting "family trip" we have taken being 3 time zones away from each other and on two completely different sides of the country, but we all had a really great time where we were. Thank you mom for a really fun trip...we love you so much and miss you already!

I get the hint!

I know I am the world's worst blogger (and I just joined Facebook, so wish me luck). I always felt like I was playing catch-up and just couldn't seem to get my blog updated. So here is the summary of the last four months. We went to LA to visit my mom and of course went to Disneyland, I fixed Thanksgiving dinner for the fam, Abby had a wonderful Christmas (her new baby doll was a hit), my sweet Grandma passed away, Corey started his last semester of Graduate School, I found out I was pregnant and Abby turned 2 years old. There it is in a nutshell. Whew! Hopefully it won't take me another 4 months before my next blog entry. As soon as the morning (really all day) sickness goes away, I hope to do much better. Toodles!
