St. George Trip #1 (April 14-18, 2008)

While we watched conference April 5th and April 6th, Abby folded her arms at the end of everyone’s talks when they said “in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.” She thought it was a prayer. It was so sweet. And when we do say a prayer, she always says “Amen” in her own baby language.
Her favorite game to play is Hide and Seek with her pink teddy bear. I will hide the bear and then ask her with my hands up, “Where’s teddy?” She also puts her hands up and starts looking for him. When you find him Abby points at him then look at me and smiles. Then she gets the bear and brings him back to me. We could play this game all day.
Abby loves giving “real” kisses, meaning right on the lips. She keeps giving me kisses or goes back and forth between Corey and me. I am just glad she keeps her mouth closed most of the time.
I am trying to teach Abby sign language. So far she knows milk and more. I am trying to teach her please, thank you, and sorry. I just learned apple and cookie, so we will have to give that a try. Any time I say milk, bottle or bah-bah, she gives me the milk sign. She asks for milk a lot, but I can’t give it to her every time, but I give in most of the time. She uses 'more' mostly when she wants more cheerios or an apple puff wheel. It is so cute and sweet.
She loves her Nemo fishy. He is your bath toy and the only bath toy she is interested in at the moment. Even when she walks into the bathroom, she sees the basket with bath toys on the toilet and she wants her fishy. We fill him with water and then I spray you with it.
Abby was really sick from April 2nd-7th. Abby had a runny nose and started a little cough. On April 7th I noticed she had a new tooth. I am sure it came in awhile ago because it is sticking out a ways. This is her 9th tooth. Today she also crawled down the stairs backwards. She actually slid down the stairs. She is just growing up so quickly.
She still is very friendly. We went to St. George last week (April 14-18, 2008). She waved at everyone. This was the first time we took her swimming in a swimming pool (I believe). She didn’t like the water, but I think it is because the water was a little cold. Corey helped her float on her back. She went as stiff as a board. Her legs would not bend. Twice she flipped and ended up face down in the water. Oopsie!
She also cut your 10th tooth while we were in St. George. I knew something wasn’t right because she was a little sad and woke up 4 times one night. It all made since when she woke up with a new tooth.

1 Year Pictures

We took Abby's 1 year pictures on Tuesday, March 18th. I had scheduled her pictures two weeks earlier, but she slipped and fell in the tub and bruised her left cheek the night before her first scheduled appointment. It was very sad. So we had to reschedule. Her pictures turned out so adorable. Grandma came with us. So did her pink teddy bear, which she absolutely loves. We took pictures of Abby in her cute overalls with her teddy bear.
