October 2008, First-Half

Abby looks out the window and sees the neighbors swing and says, “Wee.” One day in October, I took Abby outside to play in the Thatcher’s backyard on the swing, slide and in the castle. Abby asks to go outside all the time by saying “wee” and signing swing or slide. Anyway, we had been outside playing for awhile, so it was time to come inside. As I was carrying Abby back home, she said, “Bye, bye wee”. I almost lost it because it was so sweet and adorable. Abby LOVES to play outside. Last weekend (Oct. 11th and 12th) it snowed for the first time this fall…3 inches. It didn’t matter…..Abby still wanted to go outside and play on the “wee.” I can already tell it is going to be a long winter.

Last week Abby also took peanut butter to the couch. I had given her peanut butter on a spoon. Well, instead of eating it, she spread the peanut butter all over the couch slipcover. Thank goodness I can wash it. She is a busy little rascal.
